Amy Adams in full Amy Lou Adams (born 20th of August 1974, Aviano Italy) American actress, especially noted for her critically acclaimed performance of charming and naive characters. Adams is born in Italy while her father served as a soldier in the U.S. military and she lived in Castle Rock Colorado as one of seven children. Mid-1990s, she started singing and dancing professionally at the Boulder Dinner Theatre in Colorado and Country Dinner Playhouse. She then moved to an area theatre in Minnesota which was where she got her first role in a mock documentary film about beauty pageants Drop Dead Gorgeous (1999). When she made her screen debut as a cute but serious contestant, she moved towards Los Angeles to pursue an acting career. She was married to actor Tony Curtis from June 1951 through September 1962. She was also is the maternal grandmother of Kelly Curtis and Jamie Lee Curtis. Leigh was picked up by Norma Shearer who was a famous actress and agreed to sign a contract for MGM in the 1940s.
